1) APPLICATION RUNS

The SGDF has made 4 runs for the application of the WDSF Athlete's ID Card.

2) INTRODUCTION

From 2013, all athletes who participate in any WDSF events will be required to produce a valid WDSF ID Card (https://www.worlddancesport.org/Cards). Please read through this email very carefully as the answers to your questions can be easily found here.

3) WHO NEEDS TO APPLY FOR A WDSF ATHLETE’S ID CARD

You need to apply for a WDSF Athlete ID card

· if you are currently a Grade A / 5 dance athlete

· if you are currently a Grade B / C athlete and planning to compete in Grade A in 2016/2017 (note : processing time is 3 months)

4) WHY DO I NEED A WDSF ATHLETE'S ID CARD?

As the holder of the WDSF Athlete's ID Card you will

be able to register at WDSF competitions without having to show any identification
not have to sign the Anti-Doping form at every competition
have your name written correctly in the results
have your WDSF World Ranking List points assigned correctly

5) WHAT DO I NEED TO PREPARE BEFORE APPLYING?

Inform SGDF that you intend to apply for the WDSF ID card and who your partner is. We will create the pairing in the Registration Licensing System (RLS).

6) HOW TO APPLY?

You apply for your WDSF ID Card by filling in a secure online form on the WDSF website under https://www.worlddancesport.org/Cards

Once you completed the application form, please proceed as follows.

Download the filled in form as a printable PDF (leave the MIN number field blank; NATIONAL # is your NRIC Number / Passport Number)
Print the form.
Sign the printed form at the areas designated on Pages One and Two.
If you have not yet reached the age of majority - as it is defined by the laws of your country - have your parent or legal guardian sign the form at the area designated on Page Two.
Provide a photocopy of your passport or your National Identity Card (NRIC front & back). If you have not yet reached the age of majority, also provide a photocopy of your parent's or legal guardian's Passport or National Identity Card (NRIC front & back).
Provide two (2) passport pictures of 4.5 cm x 3.5 cm (1.78" x 1.38") in size.
Please send S$10.00 per card to be processed, cheque made out to SINGAPORE DANCESPORT FEDERATION.
Send the filled-in and printed application form together with the photocopies, the passport pictures and the money / cheque to SGDF.

7) WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY WDSF ID CARD?

The time from the application for your ID Card until you have it in your hands can take up to three months. Please apply now so you are ready for your next WDSF event.

8) HOW OFTEN WILL SGDF APPLY THE CARDS FOR US?

As you know, SGDF is managed by volunteers with full-time jobs. It takes time to go to the Post Office or bank to make any transactions. This is the fifth run since 2012. Whether we make another run to apply for the WDSF IDs will greatly depend on the demand and numbers.

9) WHEN SHOULD I COMPETE FILLING UP AND SENDING SGDF THE NECESSARY FORMS AND PAYMENT?

Saturday 10 September 2016. Please do not delay as we have to process other members’ submissions too. In addition, please ensure that your SGDF membership for 2016 (ie 1 April 2016 to 31 March 2017) is current and valid.
